Central Quay, Glasgow is a prominent riverside inner urban, city regeneration scheme, situated south of the city centre.
The development incorporates a 3.6 hectare business park, providing 500,000 ft² of office space and other facilities. The landscape has been conceived as an arrangement of rational planes that move across the space provide lateral connections between opposing buildings. While the meander appears random, the route has been carefully chosen to draw the circulation route close to commercial buildings either side of the central axis. This includes a connection to the proposed new pavilion located near to the proposed hotel that will serve a leisure and café zone close to the Clyde river frontage. Together with a curved sweeping ramp this area will help to draw pedestrians into the space as an alternative route to the city centre.
